Daniel Champagne
Daniel Champagne has covered a lot of ground for an artist so young. Hence, his second album The Gypsy Moon (Volume 1) is what the 23-year-old singer, songwriter and guitar virtuoso calls "a collection of road songs" – one which plays out to the listener like a sonic tour diary.
"Today I saw the Future of Folk! – Festival goers flocking in their thousands towards the main stage to witness the young musical phenomenon from Australia dish out an absolute show-stopper at the evening"s end."
Firefly Column, USA
"Watching Daniel Champagne perform is a once in a lifetime experience. He is a true prodigy that plays like no one else could possibly play unless they spent at least two lifetimes studying the art."
BW Review, New Zealand
"The superb talent of Daniel Champagne can’t be explained by mere words; it must be seen to be believed."

The first thing that strikes listeners about Hamilton’s Gillian Nicola is the strength of her vocals. This rising singer/songwriter calls on influences of folk, rock and alt-country to bring a sound both unique to her and that honours her diverse taste. 2016 will see the release of Nicola’s sophomore EP, No Place to Call, which was produced and engineered by Dan Hosh (Whitehorse, City and Colour, Rose Cousins) at Catherine North Studios and mastered by Elliott Brood’s Stephen Pitkin. Nicola’s 2013 EP, Chasing the Wind was nominated at both the Toronto Independent Music Awards and the Hamilton Music Awards. Since then, Nicola has performed throughout Ontario at various notable venues and festivals, including the JUNOs Concert Series, was a Regional Finalist in the 2015 CBC Searchlight Competition, and has participated in the CIRAA Mentorship Program.

The Grasping Straws
Psychedelic art rock. The Grasping Straws have been consistently performing in and around New York City since 2012. In July 2014, the group went on their first national tour with fellow NYC-based artist Cannonball Statman. The band's founder, Mallory, has since gone on to tour Europe, Canada and more of the US as a solo acoustic incarnation of The Grasping Straws to support the June 2015 release of the band's debut album.
The Grasping Straws continue to tour and perform locally around NYC, while working on writing and recording new material.
"Frontwoman Mallory Feuer blends an otherwordly, raw, bluesy edge with the fearlessness of pre-meltdown Courtney Love, both vocally and guitar-wise, instantly putting this group on the map as one of New York's most distinctive, individualistic, exciting new bands."
- New York Music Daily
"The Grasping Straws drifted into slow, drum-marched songs that, particularly with front-woman Mallory Feuer's drawn-out and bluesy vocals, recalled the lo-fi glory of early Cat Power. Taking their time rather than rushing towards easy shock, these tracks intrigued with their very patience and calm and, perhaps most importantly, were ultimately moving, their tumbling quality enabling the audience to both engage and reflect."
The Deli Magazine
Mischeif Night
Mischief Night combines a unique blend of rock, jazz, folk, and lo-fi elements to create rich, layered compositions. Marcus and Mallory are partners in music and life that met in the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia. After playing in numerous bands, Marcus relocated to Brooklyn and formed Mischief Night with Mallory complimenting the group as a vocalist/violinist/percussionist.
Psych Rock Machine fights off the bad things with sweet organ melodies, jagged rock guitars, and harmonies sent from somewhere unknown.
Regarding the track "Offering":
"The recording style on this acoustic track makes it feel both cavernous and intimate; the vocals soar in the near distance, while the drums and casio tones are close at hand. The lyrics are intriguing, as well."
Independent Clauses, music blog.
